Elderly Woman Looks Out Her Window in Bakhmut
Local resident Valentina Pavilivna Bondarenko, 79, looks out her front room window in her home on the eastern outskirts of Bakhmut, Ukraine on Aug. 18, 2022. Shelling was consistently heard as Ukrainian forces held off an attempted advance on the area by Russian troops according to a General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine post on Facebook. Russia shells the city daily as it attempts to conquer Ukraine's Donbas region.
